My daughter and I went on the 2 day Inca Trail hike with Juan José and Fernando as our guides. We had an amazing experience from beginning to end. The knowledge and experience of our guides was evident from the beginning, but their patience and kindness really shone through during the most difficult portions of the hike when I needed it the most! It was well-organized and well-timed. We were never rushed and we were able to manage the entire trek. We had absolutely delicious meals prepared by our talented cook Senchi. To actually be at Macchu Picchu was surreal—we tried to soak it in as much as possible. Juan José was able to teach us not only on the history of the Incas and the architecture and engineering of their settlements, but also of their culture and the current flora and fauna and culture, and how everything interconnects. It was all quite lovely, and I feel so happy to have gotten to experience this for my 50th and my daughter’s 18th birthdays. Thank you Trexperience!
View full reviewWhere to even begin? My wife and I decided to celebrate our honeymoon in an alternative way, let's put it that way. We booked the Salkantay Trekking with TreXperience, and it was hands down one of the most beautiful experiences we’ve ever had. Everything was perfectly organized down to the smallest detail—like getting a hot water bottle on our first night at the campsite (when the outside temperature was around -2 to -5°C). The same goes for all the breakfasts, lunches, and dinners prepared by our Chef, Celso, along with Santiago, Bernardo, and the rest of the staff. They even surprised us with a cake when they found out it was our honeymoon, which was completely unexpected and truly beautiful. Let’s talk about the guides: Abelardo, our "captain." An incredibly skilled and knowledgeable person, as well as friendly and humble. It’s impossible not to chat and become friends with him. Alejandro, equally talented and knowledgeable. I have to say he is a wonderful person, our true third travel companion, always by our side helping each other out, talking about everything, and teaching us so much about the Quechua language and culture. Sergio, the kind of person who manages to give you all the confidence and peace of mind you need. Talking to him felt like talking to a deeply loved uncle. He was always right behind us, teaching and explaining so many things—truly a wonderful soul. To wrap it up, the trek itself was gorgeous. We saw landscapes and panoramas we had only ever seen in documentaries, with breathtaking mountains. The altitude made itself felt during the first two days, but it was never a dealbreaker. I would do it again in a heartbeat, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure and wanting to connect with beautiful people and cultures. A big hug to our guides and to everyone who shared this journey with us. From the Italian newlyweds, Davide & Loredana
View full reviewReview of the 5-Day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu + Vistadome Train The Salkantay Trek was undoubtedly an impressive adventure, but what truly made this tour extraordinary was the wonderful group of participants and the outstanding team of guides, cooks, and porters. First, I’d like to commend all three guides, who did an outstanding job throughout the tour. On the third day, our group was split up, and we were lucky enough to be accompanied by David. David was simply extraordinary and exceeded our expectations in every way. With his warm personality, sense of humor, and infectious enthusiasm, he made every single day special. He was not just a guide, but a companion, motivator, and friend all at once. With his fascinating stories and the passion with which he spoke about Peru, he truly immersed us in the country’s culture and traditions. David didn’t just lead this tour—he turned it into an unforgettable experience that will stay with us forever. An equally big compliment goes to the cooks. What they accomplished day after day under the demanding conditions along the trek was simply incredible. The quality, variety, and presentation of the meals were at a level that many restaurants can barely match. After hours of hiking, we were surprised every time with fantastic food, and we kept wondering how such dishes were even possible in the middle of the mountains. We were also particularly impressed by the many thoughtful details that went far beyond what we expected. Hot water bottles for the cold nights, a cozy campfire under the starry sky, and marshmallows to roast created unforgettable moments and showed just how much dedication the team puts into caring for its guests. I also have the utmost respect for the porters. Their daily efforts are almost impossible to put into words. They perform grueling physical labor under challenging conditions and yet always ensure that everything runs smoothly. Without their dedication, a tour like this would not be possible. Their hard work, professionalism, and endurance deserve the highest praise. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for this unique experience. For me, the Salkantay Trek was not just a hike, but an adventure full of special encounters, impressive experiences, and unforgettable memories. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour.

View full reviewWe booked the luxury Inca Trail trek through Trexperience. Monica (our guide) and Alec met with us the night prior to our departure and went through the itinerary face to face. It gave us an opportunity to ask questions and collect our duffle bag to pack. We were picked up at 5am the following morning and our adventure was on its way! Unfortunately, I suffered with altitude sickness (coming from down under no amount of training prepares you for the altitude) but we managed to get to the first camp. Monica was caring and compassionate and really looked after me. In fact, the whole team was concerned and couldn’t do enough for us to still enjoy the experience. A decision was made the next morning to head back to the starting point. My husband and I thought well we tried and we will have to come back to Peru another time to visit Machu Picchu. We were extremely surprised and grateful that Monica liaised with Trexperience and they organised accommodation at Ollamtaytambo in the Sacred Valley for the night. We saw the ruins the next day with Monica and then caught the train to Machu Picchu and the dream was complete. We can’t praise Monica and the company highly enough for their efforts in reorganising our trip. Tickets and hotels are booked out months in advance but they somehow made it happen for us. Thanks Monica and Alex and the whole team for looking after us. Colleen & Peter from Australia

What an amazing experience! I booked this with my brother six months ago for my birthday and TreXperience did not disappoint. Everything about the service they provided was incredible, from the safety briefing, to transport and communication on the hike. Our guides Gary and Miguel were the best, they were extremely knowledgeable about the trail and its history, and their passion for their job really shined through! Special shoutout for the number of photos they took of us on the trail in order to have lasting memories whilst we were busy hiking! They helped shape our group of 10 into a family over the four days, and they really made the trip for me! All the food made on the trail was plentiful and delicious, and the service provided by the porters and guides was incredible and made the entire trek that much easier. It was my 18th birthday on the last night, and the chef made a birthday cake which was unbelievably tasty for being the last day - it was an unforgettable experience! I highly recommend if you want to undertake the Inca Trail, booking with TreXperience, everything was amazing! Thank you so much, it was truly the best time!
